Welcome to Plateea Ministries. It’s Tuesday night, what are you up to?
Tonight I look over at the “Word” and it says…
“Her enemies looked at her, and laughed at her destruction…”
Now, that is funny. The other day I found myself in an interesting situation. I am attempting the ridiculous. Going to grad school as a single parent, with no family in town, no grandparents, not so much as a companion nearby that can really help with my (did I mention) 4, 5, and 6 year old.
I know, it’s crazy. And, the other night, I do believe my enemies looked at me, and attempted to laugh as they secretly plotted my destruction. Something that, in the past might have caused me “bitter anguish” as lamentations might “lament”. ha ha!
Here are some examples of actual things I heard from students during the last few days:
- “Going to school as a single parent is simply not possible; you are supposed to put your life on hold for 15 years, or didn’t you know that?”
- “I thought I told all you I was going to submit that paper, why didn’t you listen to me or we wouldn’t have got in trouble 2day? Now, P is going to do the next part, got it? Or did you hear that part?” (names withheld to protect the innocent)…
- “If you don’t do this right now, I am going to wipe your name from our membership. You better respond or else!!”
